Hey my lovely friends, how are you?? And how is going on your practice?? Hope and pray, you are well and you are doing well. Allhamdulilah, I have been pretty well by the mercy of Allah.
Today, I am here to accomplish my writing practice which I take seriously. I know my all friends are also practicing here and you are becoming a vivid witness of their success. After seeing their success or development, I am getting motivated. Hope, you will also take it seriously for your own welfare.
From my title, you already know that today I will write about Lunar eclipse. Yes, lunar eclipse is a hot topic today. I know, all of you are also very excited to watch this. Those of us who are from science background, we know about this matter. Today I wanted to know more about this because I forgot about this. So I Googled it and want to share with you what I just found out.
We know, Lunar eclipse occurs only during the night of full moon. When the sun, the earth and the moon are aligned exactly or very close with the planet in between. This time lunar eclipse occurs. Basically, when earth stays between the sun and the moon, so that the light of sun cannot common into the moon. Since earth blocks most of the light, and some portion of light also reflected from the lunar surface. So the light appears reddish color, that’s why a total lunar eclipse is sometimes also called Blood Moon.
There are three categories of earth shadows such as Umbra, Penumbra and Antumbra.
Umbra is consisted of the body with shady and dark part where the light is completely blocked.
Penumbra is a region where only one part of source light are block by the covered body.
Antumbra is a region of shadow where the whole light seems to be located inside a disc.
Based on these types of shadows, the lunar eclipse can be seen different in different place of earth. Such as due to Umbra, an observer can experience with total eclipse. An observer can experience in partial eclipse which are in Penumbra region. And Antumbra region people can enjoy annual eclipse.
Based on above discussion, we can say that today we are in Umbra region that’s why we will experience in total eclipse and annual eclipse as well. Tonight, lunar eclipse will start from 11am and finish at 5 am.
My Opinion:
Firstly, I want to say that some of prejudices about lunar eclipse or solar eclipse are in our society for pregnant women. I think there is no effect . Though the sun light have particular effect on human, for that consideration is different. But in this time, we should pray to our almighty rather than enjoying.
Thanks a lot.
May Allah bless you.
