Generally, we see rainbow in the sky but is it river? How?? Yes, Friends, There is a river which is called “Rainbow River.” The Rainbow River is an amazing art of our creator. In this river, we can see five colors such as green, yellow, black, Red and blue. That is why; it is also called five colors river.
The “five colors river” is located in the serrania de la Macarnena province of Meta . It is 100km in length. It is assumed that this river formed approximately 1.2 billion years ago . This river also flowed among three countries like Venezuela, Brazil and Colombia
Now friends ,one question can come to our mind , though water has no color but why this river has five colors ..Right? Yes, these five colors produce from different plants and rocks . There is a red plantcalled Macareneia clavigera which makes the river Red. Others colors come from black rocks , green algae , blue water and yellow sand which produce an iridescent effect. The nature of this river becomes more dramatic because of waterfalls , pools and caverns .
Hey friends , do you want to see this liquid Ranbow?? Then you have to face a quite challenging task . First go to Villavicencio from Bogota by plane or bus. From Villavicencio catch a plane to La Macarena. Here you can hire a guide to see the amazing place . There are other routes that you can choose. You can go from Delhi to London and London to Macarena . Or you can go via Brazil by plane. But the authority do not allow more than 20 people to go at a time .
This is high time because this river becomes colorful from July through November.
I wish , I could visit there.
