Well, I am here to complete my today’s task which I did not submit yet. You have already seen my post title. Alhamdulilah, I want to share with you that just few minutes ago, I have posted my second post in Digital skills for Bangladesh group about E-learning. So I was thinking that what topic, I will select for practicing English writing. Though it is quite late, So I take this decision to write about my e-learning post.
E-learning is a new trend in our country. There was a time when the only way to procure any kind of education meant that a person had to go to a school or any kind of institution that offered such services. However, with the blessings of Internet a new system of education emerged. There are many online platforms here to build up a career or learn our desire course such as e-learning, online learning, blended learning, digital learning.
OH! Yes, I want to share another thing which I learnt from Razib sir post that we are not saying that E-learning is an alternative of school. But e-learning will be a learning platform of those people who couldn’t finish their education in a certain level or who didn’t get an opportunity of proper learning.
There are many benefits of E-learning which you may know from our DSB group.
ok, Let’s come to the points.
E-learning is an online learning platform where students and teachers will interact via Internet. one of my e-learning posts, one friend asked me that what is the difference between online learning and e-leaning.
Before giving this answer, we should know another learning method which is blended learning. Blended learning is a combination of traditional learning and online learning system by which teachers can teach in a remote area through online. I gave an example of my DSB post which is, maybe you watched a Robi or GP Advertisement, where they created an online school to teach children in the hill tracts from Dhaka through video conference. I hope, now you understand what is blended learning.
Online learning is a combination of blended learning and e-learning system. If online learning is a tree then both of are its two branches. So E-learning is a branch of online learning where all steps from course enrolled to get certificate will be held through Internet. Even if the student and teachers stay army same area, They will not allow to interact physically but must response via Internet. I hope, My that’s friend, will now understand.
Virtual learning process is also little bit similar but students must be communicated face to face with teachers via video conference software such as Skype or talks cloud meeting. Here timing is major fact which is not for e-learning.
Digital leaning is the master learning method where our all system involved such as E-learning, online learning and blended learning. In addition, in this system, offline digital learning is also included where local video software and digital camera are used for learning.
