Hey friends, how are you? Hope , you are well. Today , I am here with small post about our workshop but from my post, you can only know the ADDA session .
While I Joined, I also heard Sayka apu’s voice . She was telling about her reading condition and sharing her experience .
Then Amita apu talked about her reading condition. She will finish reading class 8 books tonight. She will start her class 9 books from tomorrow but now she is more confident. Sir also gave her a guideline that she had taken this month only for reading .
Then sir also told us about search English group popularity and workshop . How people also reacted earlier but now SEGhas become more popular than before. Sir also told us that after completing 5 workshops, anyone can speak but after completing 10 workshops, they become more confident. Yes, we are vivid example for this.
Amita apu also shared about her university classes. She also can see the difference between past and present condition due to reading power. Sir told her to continue at least one month for reading .
Then Sonjoy vai gave salam to sir and told sir that he could not read for 2 weeks. He wanted to start from beginning . But sir told him not to start from firs . Though he is doing job he cannot give time on reading but he is more confident now to talk with others .
Then Asha apu said that she is now at her home but she has completed one category post .
Fouzia apu also said that she completed all English books. She also finished reading0 category posts three times. She is reading them for the fourth time. Sir scolded herbut why sir scolded her, sir also told the reason. I think teachers scolds are like blessings.
Then lipi Sd apu shared her reading condition that she finished zero categories . She has a plan to finished one category from two or one days. Then she expressed her experience about her job and how was the English part. There are some less time she took and she wrote an essay with free hand writing. She also felt happy to translate some translation type questions. She did really good and feeling so happy . She said that her condition is better than earlier. Now she can understand 90% after reading first time due to reading skills . Sir also gave advices. He was happy to get such news. Lipi apu also said that first time, she dared to buy an English books “ Wings of Fire.”She is now more confident to buy such books and read. Sir also told her after completing 2 category posts then she can understand any books of English literature.
Kazi Sajjad vai also shared his present condition. He will finish class six books tonight. After completing class five books. He can understandeasily understand his academic books.
Namzmun Nahar apu gave salam to sir and told us that she completed zero category post 2times. She also did good on her bank exam. She has plan to finish one category post.
Then sir asked Ariyan vai. He already completed SSC level books 2 times and is reading 3rd time. He admitted that he was week in reading and understanding English before but now he can understand more. Sir told him that if he told others that he already finished books without dictionary, what would be their reaction.He said that it is hard for people to believe him.
Then Palash Roy vai also told his problem that how he will understand about people speaking while he watch movie . Sir gave suggestions about this to continue here and after amonthlater to see his changes .
Anu apu thanked sir to give this slot. Then apu told about our workshop. She said that we feel our improvement in many ways. That’s why we are taking it more seriously. For twelve years,Englishhad been our compulsory subject but we could not read, write or speak properly. We always think that we will read it as a subject but not language to get highest marks only. That is our unsuccessful story. Then after joining workshop, we are knowing that we have to read books but some members did not take it seriously and were apprehensive. Sir explained that reason with an example that, if we give intermediate books to read to primary student he or she can read itbut cannot understand the meaning because his knowledge is in primary level. So to develop our basic, we should take reading seriously.Anu apu added .
If you want to improve our basic skills, you have to read. Some people realized that reading is power after taking reading seriously. She also told that their speaking style also changed after completing reading section. She can deliver her lecture because she was in this condition in past year. But now she is also reading but reading materials are different. Now she is reading about podcast, startup related materials .
From class 1-12 English books with 5 times, then reading materials on Search English website, are the process to start our reading section. Thenshe told us that how can we read. We have to change our reading style a little bit if we want to read for a long time. We should develop eye reading. Though we have ahabit with mouthreading then it will be hard to adjust to eye reading. But we have to adjust with it. She also told us about the advantages and disadvantages between eye reading and mouth reading .
She also told us to guess about unknown words without seeking dictionary. If we continue to see dictionary, it will kill our times and we will be dependent on dictionary professionally .
To make reading a habit we need to read regularly. She also told us that how can we build it . If some of us are job-holders then we can take some times like 30min, then again take sometime in this way they have to build this habit. If we have more time then , we can read as much as we want .
Reading and listening are our input , she said that we need to practice it because it will help us to speak and write .Then Sir gave a summary about Anu apu’s lectures .
Then we move on toconversation session . I am extremely sorry because today, I cannot write about conversation part because tomorrow I have an exam at 9 a.m. but I heard all conversation along with my studies. But my friends, don’t worry, you will get a summary of our workshop conversation from my others group mates .
